Roadside Enforcement Checks: Candidates will understand the reasons for roadside checks and the action to take when stopped, including how to recognise genuine enforcement officers. Candidates will be aware of their responsibilities for vehicle roadworthiness, the different types of prohibition, and the fines, penalties and sanctions that can follow, including vehicle immobilisation. By undertaking this course candidates should reduce the risk of prohibitions and penalties at the roadside.
Security: Candidates will be able to identify potential security weaknesses and act accordingly to alleviate these. Candidates will be aware of how to report potential security or terrorist threats to the emergency services. Candidates will be able to reduce the possibility of the vehicle, passengers or load being stolen, or damaged / harmed by thieves.
