Suitable for LGV & PCV Drivers
Tiredness, Diet & Lifestyle: Candidates will be aware that they must not drive whilst they are tired. They will know the tell-tale signs of tiredness and pull over safely until they are in a fit state to drive again. Candidates will also be aware of the consequences of driving whilst they are distracted. The course should ensure that candidates do not drive whilst distracted. Candidates will learn about nutritional values and the effect that this can have on performance. Candidates will also be aware of various sleep disorders.
Economical Driving: Candidates will be aware of how the degree of fuel consumption will have an effect of the profitability, or loss, of their employers business. Candidates will receive an understanding of how they can improve the fuel consumption of their vehicle and the positive effect that this can have on their employers business.

Drivers' Hours: Candidates will be able to identify the rules that are relevant to their operation and operate within the requirements of these rules. Candidates will gain an understanding of the various rules, how to determine which rules apply to them, and how to combine the requirements of the drivers' hours rules with those of the working time rules.
Health & Safety: Candidates will be aware of how to perform a dynamic risk assessment prior to undertaking any task. Candidates will be able to evaluate potential risks and be able to reduce or eliminate such risk. By undertaking this course the risk of injury to candidates should be reduced.

Roadside Enforcement Checks: Candidates will understand the reasons for roadside checks and the action to take when stopped, including how to recognise genuine enforcement officers. Candidates will be aware of their responsibilities for vehicle roadworthiness, the different types of prohibition, and the fines, penalties and sanctions that can follow, including vehicle immobilisation. By undertaking this course candidates should reduce the risk of prohibitions and penalties at the roadside.
Security: Candidates will be able to identify potential security weaknesses and act accordingly to alleviate these. Candidates will be aware of how to report potential security or terrorist threats to the emergency services. Candidates will be able to reduce the possibility of the vehicle, passengers or load being stolen, or damaged / harmed by thieves.

By undertaking this course candidates will be better able to look after their own wellbeing and that of those around them.
Safe Loading: Candidates will understand the principles of load security and weight distribution, and how to select and use appropriate restraint equipment. Candidates will be aware of their legal responsibilities for a safe and secure load and the consequences of an unsafe or overloaded vehicle. By undertaking this course the risk of load shift, injury and enforcement action should be reduced.

Suitable for LGV & PCV Drivers
Tachograph: Candidates will learn how to complete a tachograph chart pre and post shift, and how to identify the correct chart for the type of tachograph unit used. Candidates will learn the basic operation of digital tachographs, including making manual entries and selecting the correct mode at the appropriate time. By the end of the course candidates should have a comprehensive understanding of the use of tachographs.
Fire Marshal: Candidates will be aware of the common causes of fires on vehicles and be able to identify potential fire risks. Candidates will be aware of the correct action to take in such a situation with regard to their personal safety. Candidates will be able to identify the correct type of fire extinguisher to use and know the correct method of use.

Vulnerable Road Users (Session 1) - 3.5hrs
Vulnerable Road Users (Session 2) - 3.5hrs
Suitable for LGV & PCV Drivers
Vulnerable Road Users (Session 1): Candidates will be able to identify a vulnerable road user, including pedestrians, cyclists, motorcyclists and horse riders, and where they are likely to be encountered. Candidates will understand why these road users are at greater risk around large vehicles.
Vulnerable Road Users (Session 2): Candidates will be able to adopt a correct and appropriate manner of driving for each situation, including awareness of blind spots and the use of vehicle safety equipment. By undertaking this course the risk of collisions involving vulnerable road users should be reduced.
If the Traffic Commissioner has required you or your drivers to complete OLAT, that’s a different course with its own dates — weekday and Saturday. It also carries 7 hours of Driver CPC. Next session Fri 30 Oct.

How do I pay for my Driver CPC course?

Can I reschedule or cancel my booking?
Yes. You can reschedule to any available course date at no extra cost, provided you contact us at least 72 hours before your original start time. Cancellations made 72+ hours in advance are eligible for a 75% refund. Full details on our refund and returns page.
What if I book the wrong course type?
Not a problem — contact us and we'll move you to the correct course at no charge, as long as it's more than 72 hours before your session. If you're unsure whether you need National or International CPC, our team can check your existing Driver CPC record and advise before you book.
Which courses count for National vs International CPC?
3.5-hour courses count towards National Driver CPC only. 7-hour courses count towards both National and International Driver CPC. If you drive commercially outside the UK, you need 35 hours of International CPC (i.e. 7-hour courses only). UK-only drivers can mix 3.5-hour and 7-hour sessions freely.
What equipment do I need for the live online session?
A laptop, tablet, or smartphone with a working camera and microphone, plus a stable internet connection (at least 2 Mbps). You'll receive a tech-check link 24 hours before your course so you can verify everything works.
Can I book multiple drivers for my fleet?
Yes. We handle fleet bookings with consolidated invoicing, same-day DVSA uploads for every driver, and group discounts for 10+ drivers. For dedicated private courses, contact our team to arrange.
How quickly will my hours appear on my DVSA record?
We upload your hours to the DVSA Driver CPC record the same day you complete the course. They typically appear on the GOV.UK Driver CPC record within 5 working days, though often much sooner.
