This statement explains our commitment to accessibility and how the CPC Express website works for users of assistive technologies. It applies to cpcexpress.co.uk.
1. Our commitment
We want everyone to be able to use our website easily — including drivers and operators using assistive technologies, those with sensory impairments, and people with learning difficulties.
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. Where we fall short, we work to fix issues quickly.
2. What we've done
We've designed the site to be usable for as wide an audience as possible. Specifically, we've:
- Used clear, plain English throughout
- Provided meaningful alt text on images
- Ensured colour contrast meets WCAG AA standards (4.5:1 for body text)
- Made the site keyboard-navigable
- Used proper heading hierarchy (H1 → H2 → H3) so screen readers can navigate easily
- Added descriptive link text — no "click here" or vague labels
- Made the site responsive so it works on mobile, tablet, and desktop
- Avoided autoplaying audio or video
3. Known limitations
We know there are still areas to improve. As of April 2026:
- Some older blog posts may have less optimal alt text — we're updating them as part of the migration
- PDF resources (such as the pre-course form) may not be fully accessible — please contact us if you need an alternative format
- Some Zoom-based course features are managed by Zoom itself; their accessibility is documented at zoom.com/accessibility
4. Reporting accessibility issues
If you experience any difficulty using our site, or need information in a different format (large print, audio, easy-read, etc.), please let us know:
- Email: bookings@cpcexpress.co.uk
- Phone: 01283 895777
We aim to respond to all accessibility-related queries within 5 working days.
