3. Bookings and contract formation
When you book a Course through our website, you make an offer to buy. A binding contract is formed only when we send you an order confirmation email containing the Course details. We reserve the right to refuse any booking without giving a reason.
You must provide accurate personal details when booking, including your full legal name, current address, and driving licence number. Incorrect details may result in your training hours being uploaded to the wrong DVSA record — we cannot be held responsible for upload errors caused by inaccurate information you provide.
4. Prices and payment
All prices are quoted in pounds sterling (GBP) and include VAT at the prevailing rate where applicable. Prices include the mandatory JAUPT/DVSA upload fee.
Payment is due at the time of booking. We accept payment by:
- Major debit and credit cards (processed via Stripe)
- Apple Pay and Google Pay (via Stripe)
- Other methods as displayed at checkout
We do not store your full card details. Card processing is handled by our payment provider (Stripe), who is PCI-DSS compliant.
5. Course delivery
Online Courses are delivered live via Zoom. After booking, you'll receive joining instructions by email, including a Zoom link, time, and joining requirements. To attend an online Course you must have:
- A computer, laptop or tablet with a working webcam and microphone
- A stable internet connection
- A quiet, private space for the duration of the Course
- Valid photo ID (driving licence) for verification at the start
The trainer will verify your identity and presence at the start of the Course. Your camera must remain on for all teaching periods.
6. Your obligations as a learner
To ensure your training hours are accepted by DVSA, you must:
- Log in at least 10 minutes before the Course start time
- Provide valid photo ID for trainer verification
- Keep your camera on for all teaching periods (cameras may be off only during scheduled breaks)
- Engage with the Course (respond to questions, attend attendance checks)
- Stay until the official end of the Course
- Not record, share, or distribute any Course materials
If you fail to meet these conditions, the trainer may not be able to upload your hours to DVSA. Hours lost due to attendance failures are not refundable.
7. Our obligations
We commit to:
- Delivering the Course you've booked, by an approved instructor
- Uploading your training hours to DVSA via the NLTC consortium, usually the same day
- Sending joining instructions at least 24 hours before the Course
- Notifying you promptly if we need to change or cancel a Course
- Handling your personal data in line with our Privacy Policy
8. Cancellation, refunds and changes
Full details are in our Refunds and Cancellations Policy. In summary:
- 14-day cooling-off period: you can cancel for a full refund within 14 days of booking, provided the Course hasn't started.
- 48-hour rule: outside the 14-day cooling-off period, you can cancel a Course up to 48 hours before its start time for a full refund.
- Cancellations within 48 hours: not eligible for a refund, but we may be able to reschedule subject to availability.
- No-shows: not refundable.
9. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for:
- Death or personal injury caused by our negligence
- Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
- Any other liability that cannot be limited under English law
Subject to the above, our total liability arising out of or in connection with any Course is limited to the price you paid for that Course. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of profit, loss of business, or loss of opportunity.
We are not responsible for issues caused by your equipment, internet connection, or third-party services (such as Zoom). If technical issues on your end cause you to lose Course hours, the standard cancellation rules apply.
10. Intellectual property
All Course materials, including handouts, slides, recordings, and training resources, are the intellectual property of CPC Express LTD or our licensors. You may not copy, share, distribute, sell, or use these materials for any purpose other than your own learning without our written permission.
