This policy explains your refund and cancellation rights when you book a Driver CPC training course with CPC Express LTD. We aim to be fair and transparent — and we honour the full statutory protections you're entitled to under UK consumer law.

1. Your statutory 14-day cooling-off period
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have 14 days from your booking confirmation to cancel and receive a full refund — without giving any reason — provided the course you booked hasn't yet been delivered.
To cancel during the cooling-off period, contact us by:

You don't need to give a reason. We'll process your refund within 14 days of receiving your cancellation, to the same payment method you used.
2. Our 72-hour cancellation policy
Outside the 14-day cooling-off period (or once the cooling-off has ended), you can still cancel as long as you give us at least 72 hours' notice before the course start time. Cancellations made with 72+ hours' notice are eligible for a 75% refund.
For example, if your course starts at 9am on Saturday, you must request your cancellation by 9am on Wednesday at the latest to qualify for the 75% refund.
The 25% retained covers DVSA administration, scheduling, and the operational cost of holding your seat — costs we incur whether or not you attend.

4. How to request a cancellation or refund
Send your cancellation request to bookings@cpcexpress.co.uk with:
- Your booking reference (from your confirmation email)
- The name on the booking
- The original course date and time
- Whether you'd like a refund or a reschedule
We'll confirm receipt within 1 working day and process your refund within 14 days.
5. Rescheduling
You can reschedule to any available course date at no extra cost, provided you contact us at least 72 hours before your original course start time. If you reschedule to a lower-priced course, the difference is not refunded. If you reschedule to a higher-priced course, you'll need to pay the difference at the time of rebooking.
Rescheduling requests made within 72 hours of the course start time are subject to availability and may not be possible.
6. If we cancel a course
Occasionally, we may need to cancel a course due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g. trainer illness, technical failure, low attendance). If this happens:
- We'll notify you as soon as possible — usually by email and phone
- You can choose a full refund or a free transfer to another available course date
- We're not liable for any other costs you may have incurred (such as time off work or travel arranged independently)
7. If you fail attendance rules during a course
To meet DVSA requirements, you must:
- Log in at least 10 minutes early
- Complete the full course (3.5 or 7 hours)
- Keep your camera on during teaching periods
- Respond to attendance checks
If you fail any of these, the trainer may not be able to upload your hours to DVSA. In this case:
- The course fee is not refundable
- You'll need to book a replacement session at the standard price

8. How refunds are processed
We process all eligible refunds:
- To the same payment method you used originally (we cannot refund to a different card or bank account)
- Within 14 days of receiving your valid cancellation request
- For the eligible amount as set out in the table above
It can take an additional 3–7 working days for the refund to appear on your statement, depending on your card issuer.
9. Your statutory rights
