Mental Health: Candidates will understand what is meant by mental health and how mental health issues can affect confidence, judgement and concentration at work. Candidates will be aware of the workplace and personal factors that can contribute to poor mental health, common triggers and conditions, and simple techniques for supporting a colleague. By undertaking this course candidates will be better able to look after their own wellbeing and that of those around them.
Safe Loading: Candidates will understand the principles of load security and weight distribution, and how to select and use appropriate restraint equipment. Candidates will be aware of their legal responsibilities for a safe and secure load and the consequences of an unsafe or overloaded vehicle. By undertaking this course the risk of load shift, injury and enforcement action should be reduced.
